MoonBear is developed by Kodawari. This policy explains how the macOS app handles information.
Information MoonBear stores
Your selected exchanges and pairs, price alert definitions, display preferences, cached market snapshots and subscription entitlement state are stored locally on your Mac. Widget snapshots are shared only between MoonBear and its widget through the app’s Apple App Group container.
Information we do not collect
MoonBear does not require a Kodawari account and does not operate its own analytics, advertising, tracking, wallet or trading service. We do not receive your watchlist, alert definitions, exchange credentials, wallet addresses or trading activity. MoonBear never asks for exchange API keys.
Public market data
MoonBear connects directly from your Mac to public market-data endpoints operated by the exchanges you select. Those providers receive ordinary network information required to serve a request, such as your IP address and request metadata, under their own privacy policies. MoonBear uses those endpoints only to obtain public prices, market lists and candles.
Apple services
Purchases and subscription status are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Notifications are delivered locally through macOS. Apple may process purchase, device and account information under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy; Kodawari does not receive your payment-card details.
Retention and deletion
Local settings and alerts remain until you remove them, reset the app or uninstall MoonBear. Cached market history is automatically limited by the app. You can remove local MoonBear data using the app’s settings or macOS application-data controls.
Children
MoonBear is a financial-information utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when MoonBear’s behavior or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
